Where Are They Now?

Hello. I am Zakary Davis, I graduated from CCA in 2015. I am currently a Junior at Bayside High School in the Encore Fine and Technical Arts Academy as the Vice President. As a Senior, I will be doing full-time dual enrollment at Eastern Florida State College to be one step closer to my AA. Looking back on my years from Calvary, I realized that who I am today was shaped by how I was treated at CCA. The teachers and administrators have been there for me not only in my happiest moments, but the hard ones as well. Each and every day people would take time out their day just to ask how I was. If I had not gone to this school my friends, memories, and greatest achievements wouldn't exist. Most importantly, who I am in Christ wouldn't exist. Here I was taught to be myself and always follow Jesus no matter what. Being where I am now couldn't of happened without Calvary Chapel Academy. - Zakary Davis

I attended Calvary Chapel Academy from 4th through 8th grade. I enjoyed being a part of the yearbook staff and playing basketball. Calvary Chapel Academy reinforced everything that my parents and my youth pastor taught me. CCA gave me a Bible based foundation and strong Christian principles that I truly appreciate. With these principles, I transitioned to public school with secure faith and confidence. My teachers at CCA took time to not only teach but to also give encouragement and pushed me to try harder and to do better. Mrs. Watson gave me the tools and skills I needed to write my first 10-page high school paper, and I can still hear Mrs. Campbell saying "be sure to show your work" - it is helping me in my geometry class. I am currently a freshman at Bayside High School and was accepted into B.E.T.A which is an accelerated program with emphasis on engineering and technology. I am also on the freshman basketball team and I often participate in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. A heartfelt thank you to Calvary Chapel Academy and great teachers...You Rock!  ~ Jonathan Green

Michael Tew  Michael Tew

Michael Tew is loving Wade Christian Academy and plays for their basketball and soccer teams. He travels all summer long from GA to PA to OH to CA! Michael excelled at Speech and Drama and always looked for an opportunity to help others and make you laugh. He misses everyone and still tries to get me to drive him down just for some social time!  ~ Sherry Sims

Sarah Rousseau  Sarah R

Sarah has been doing amazing!!! She is dual enrolled in school. She does her virtual high school and she goes to college classes at the two different campuses at Eastern Florida State College. Sarah is still dancing and performed in the Nutcracker this past December. She is still diving for her club team YCF Diving in Orlando and is training for the USA diving nationals, at which she took 10th on 1 meter board last year. She is also diving for Viera High School where she had an unbelievable great year. She is Cape Coast Conference Champion, District Champion, Regional Champion, and State Champion for 3A schools. She was additionally nominated for and won Athlete of the Week and was in the Florida Today for that. Her chemistry teacher, Mrs. Fleming, from Brevard Virtual Instructional Program picked her for VIP Student, which was posted on the BVS website. She is doing great academically, and she is in the National Honor Society.

Sarah is doing well because of so many blessings in her life, including Calvary Chapel Academy which helped her be the diver that she is because the coaches worked with her schedule. So we would like to say thank you to Calvary Chapel Academy for all they've done for Sarah.  ~ Lynette Rousseau

Rylee Tuttle  Rylee Tuttle

Rylee Tuttle was in the IB Program at Melbourne High School and graduated with his International Baccalaureate diploma. He graduated with a 4.5 GPA and lettered in three varsity sports his senior year. He earned 38 college credits during his high school years by excelling in both AP and IB classes. He earned acceptance into the Honors College at Florida State University where he earned a $10,000 freshman academic scholarship. He also earned the top Bright Futures Scholarship and $1,500 in student-athlete academic scholarship awards. And, most importantly, Rylee was a leader in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)  all four years at Mel Hi. Much more than the academic and athletic accomplishments, I am most proud of Rylee for his unwavering commitment to his faith in Jesus Christ and striving to please God with the choices he makes every day in every area of his life. He is a Pre-Med major and he is already getting involved in two campus ministries at FSU. We give God all the glory for the amazing things He has already done for Rylee and for the amazing things He has planned for him! God is good!!!  ~ Tammy Tuttle

I attended Calvary Chapel Academy from 3rd-8th grade. While there, I was on the yearbook staff and played drums for the worship team. CCA gave me the Christian foundation that, although in my youth did not seem important at the time, was very crucial later on. Without the biblical basis that I received there, I would have been a lot more susceptible to the temptations of public high school and the culture around there. CCA and its staff were, and are to this day, fundamental in my walk with Christ. Several of my closest friends today are friendships that were formed while at CCA. I also have to say that being in Mrs. Watson’s Language Arts classes prepared me for all the papers I would have to write in the IB program. I had no idea at the time how much I would be using all the writing skills that she taught me. After graduating from CCA, I went to Melbourne High School where I was in the International Baccalaureate program. While there, I was on the FCA leadership team all four years. I am now attending my first year at Southeastern University and am majoring in Youth and Family.  ~ Grayson Campbell

After graduating from Calvary Chapel Academy, I attended Melbourne High School and joined the Business and Finance Academy. It was a great program that taught me a lot about not only the business world, but also how to dress professionally, how to successfully complete a job interview, how to speak publicly, and how even though business is not my desired career path, the program would still be very beneficial for my future. Now that I have graduated from Melbourne High, I am currently majoring in Early Childhood Education at the University of Central Florida and I absolutely love every aspect of this school. I was accepted into their STEP program for future educators, and I am so glad that I chose to join it. I chose to attend UCF for many reasons. One of them being that I have always heard nothing but amazing things about their College of Education. Another is it is close to home, but also far enough away to be independent. Also, it just happened to be where my kindergarten and first grade teacher at CCA, Mrs. Smith, attended college, and she is one of my inspirations for becoming a teacher. I am so excited to see where this journey takes me and I hope that I can make a positive impact on students in my own classroom one day just as my teachers did at CCA.  ~ Ashlynn Hewitte

John Rosborough

My son John attended CCA from the 3-year old pre-K class through the 8th grade. He is now a senior at Bayside High School and is in the BETA program there. John is ranked 23rd out of 329 students in his class. He has taken Honor and AP classes and is dual enrolled at Eastern Florida State College. He is in the NJROTC program at Bayside and is the XO of the battalion. John is also the Color Guard Commander. He is currently applying to the Naval Academy and for ROTC scholarships. He wants to get his degree in Mechanical Engineering. I believe that his years at CCA prepared him for high school. We feel blessed to have had our son grounded at such a great Christian school with awesome, caring teachers.  ~ Stacey Rosborough
